Engaging with Beekeeping Communities
Our community outreach efforts recently led us to participate in the World Bee Day competition in Bangkok, specifically focusing on stingless bee hives.
This event allowed us to connect directly with passionate beekeepers and farmers who share our vision for sustainable agriculture and pollinator protection.
We were particularly honored to meet the Vice President of Bang Nam Pheung Stingless Bee Farm and several other dedicated farmers who expressed keen interest in testing BeeFriend insecticide in their own operations.
During our visit, we shared BeeFriend with local beekeepers and organic farmers and demonstrated how it works. The results were encouraging, showing that BeeFriend could control harmful insects while keeping bees safe. This collaboration, along with their support, was an important step towards introducing BeeFriend to more farming communities.
Supporting Organic Farmers
Beyond working with beekeepers, BeeFriend also collaborates with organic farmers to promote safer, more sustainable farming practices. Through workshops and farm visits, we introduce our natural pest control made from upcycled mussel shells.
We have presented BeeFriend and provided free samples to over 60 organic farms across Greater Bangkok. This allows farmers to test the product in real farming conditions and explore a more environmentally friendly way to manage harmful insects.
From Organic Farms to Public Parks,
expanding BeeFriend’s Eco-Impact
BeeFriend also works with urban environmental programs. We introduced our eco-friendly insecticide to officers from major public parks under the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA), showing how it can help protect green spaces without harming pollinators. These parks also serve as community gardens where household crops are planted for the community.
This collaboration encourages safer pest management and supports healthier, more biodiverse public parks across Bangkok.
Institutional Recognition
We had the opportunity to present our project to the Bangkok Metropolitan Authority (BMA), and the team at Bangkok’s Environmental Department. Our discussion focused on how BeeFriend can protect city gardens and parks while improving pollination and increasing ecosystem productivity. This collaboration reflects our shared goal of transforming Bangkok’s public parks into models of sustainable urban ecology.
In July 2025, we had the opportunity to present BeeFriend to Mr. Robert F. Godec, U.S. Ambassador to Thailand, and share our approach to pollinator-safe farming and the circular economy.
We explained how BeeFriend protects pollinators while turning coastal waste into something useful and supporting local farming communities. This experience showed us how a local idea can contribute to wider climate action and positive environmental change.
Sustainability Showcase
BeeFriend participated in Bangkok Climate Action Week 2025, an event bringing together government agencies, environmental organizations, startups, and local communities working toward a more sustainable Thailand.
At our booth, we sold our bee-safe insecticide and showed how discarded materials can be upcycled to reduce waste and protect pollinators. We also connected with visitors and raised awareness about pollinator conservation and sustainable farming.
